03 Common sense policy plan
A better future starts here.
Frankston is worth fighting for. The policy platform is built around community first, everyday counts and common-sense solutions.
These are practical commitments to fix the basics, strengthen families, make politicians accountable and put Frankston before party politics.

The Community Contract
A promise to put Frankston first.
This is a public commitment between Chrysten Abraham and the people of Frankston. Every decision, vote and action will be guided by the community — not a political party.

Appendix B
The Results Guarantee.
Government should be measured by outcomes, not excuses.
The Results Guarantee proposes a new standard of accountability: public reporting, independent verification and meaningful community participation in deciding what success looks like.
- Annual performance measures that are public and easy to understand
- Community input into the outcomes that matter most
- Accountability for governments that fail to deliver agreed results
Because accountability shouldn't happen every four years. It should happen every single year.

Common sense policy plan
Priorities that deliver.
Government should solve problems, protect what matters, spend wisely and leave communities stronger than it found them.
Prioritise the Basics
Roads, healthcare and safer communities are the essentials government must get right.
- Better roads and stronger road maintenance
- Accessible healthcare and support for local and surrounding hospitals
- Safer communities, rehabilitation and a pathway out of homelessness
Make Politicians Accountable
Public office is a responsibility, not a privilege. Government should be measured by results.
- Tougher anti-corruption and conflict-of-interest laws
- Transparent commitments, delivery and spending
- Performance measures people can understand and verify
Raising Children
Support families with genuine choice, flexibility and care — not more bureaucracy.
- Fund the child, not just the childcare provider
- Support grandparents and family carers
- Reduce barriers for families choosing the care arrangement that works for them
Better Education
Help young people move from school into rewarding careers and prepare Victoria for what comes next.
- Career planning and industry exposure from Year 10
- Tutoring, mentoring, apprenticeships and work experience
- Stronger connections between schools, training providers and employers
Put Frankston First
Every decision should start with one simple question: is this what is best for Frankston?
- Put Frankston before party politics
- Consult the community before major decisions
- Keep an open door and fight for the community at every level of government
Stop the Waste
Families have to budget, and government should too. Every taxpayer dollar should deliver value.
- Eliminate unnecessary waste and reduce bureaucracy
- Audit major spending and restore fiscal responsibility
- Prioritise frontline services over political announcements
Back Small Business
When local businesses succeed, jobs grow, families prosper and Frankston wins.
- Reduce red tape and speed up permits and approvals
- Support local business networks and apprenticeships
- Strengthen Frankston’s night-time and small business economy
